"Chilikara Five" is a music group formed in 2020 by five young Japanese traditional musicians. Utilizing traditional Japanese instruments such as the kotsuzumi (small drum), ōtsuzumi (large drum), taiko, and nōkan (flute), they draw on their roots as accompanists for kabuki and nō theater. By blending classical Japanese music with contemporary styles, they create a unique sound that paves the way for a new era in the music scene.
